Gourdon Grove was born out of a hobby by Ali Gourd Cosgrove. A New York transplant in London, Ali built her career in financial services… though she always had a creative side behind her business woman exterior.

As a sales person in the Asset Management arena, where investment performance made up a large part of the products she represented, Ali was keen to build and represent something tangible (and pretty to look at) that she could hold in her hand.

The inspiration for her early works in the Gourdon Grove portfolio came from friends and family as well as her own life through various chapters.
